By entering the show and paying entry fees you are agreeing to the following:
Rules of Entry
- Ring 1 and 2 foals under 12 months may NOT be body clipped. Trimming to be limited to long hairs under jaw or outside of ear
- Foals must be weaned, no mares on the ground.
- The APSB registered breeds classes will be run in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Australian Pony Stud Book Society Inc (APSB)
- All exhibitors must be financial members of the relevant society and follow breed standard rules, in the event of a clash with APSB then APSB rules over-rule
- Registration and age must be verifiable.
- All APSB members entries $8, non APSB members $10
- All competitors compete at their own risk, by submitting entries you are agreeing to this. Also, you must sign the insurance indemnity form provided
- Judges decision will be final.
- No refunds after close of entries under any circumstance except for public health reasons (eg: COVid)
- The Onus is on the exhibitor to ensure that s/he has sufficient handlers for all exhibits
- Rings will be held for Championship clashes only, unless Committee dictates
- Children must be under adult supervision at all times
- Dogs must be on a leash at all times and calm behaviour, poo must be picked up
- All colts yearling or over must be shown bitted and be handled by a competent person 18 years and over
- Enclosed leather footwear with a suitable heel only when handling exhibits. No Thongs, Sneakers, ballet type shoes, Sandals etc
- Any protests must be in writing, signed by the person making the protest, supporting evidence , names of witnesses and the sum of $100 (Refundable if protest is upheld only) must be presented personally to the President of the Committee. The Ground Jury will determine the protest and call such evidence they see fit. Protests concerning ground conditions no later than 30 minutes before the event starts; Protests concerning irregularities, horse or competitor eligibility or other incidents during the class must be made within 30 minutes of the class.
- Any competitor whose conduct is considered to be ill mannered, aggressive or showing unsportsman like behaviour may be asked to leave the ring and their conduct reported to relevant society.
- No person shall be allowed to enter or having entered, shall be allowed to remain on any part of the ground that shall or may offend against decency, either as regards to language, dress or conduct
- Committee reserve the right to refuse entries with no reason given
- Photos taken at the event may be used for future publicity – please contact the committee in writing if you would prefer your image is not used in this way.
- We welcome any suggestions on how to make our event even better! Please submit these in writing to our email to be tabled at the next meeting. We prefer constructive criticism with solutions.
- We ask that all poo be cleaned up from yards, stables and around horse floats. Please take your rubbish with you.
Hi-Points Rules across both Shows.
- Pony must attend both shows
- Points as follows:
In a Shetland class 5 entrants
1st Shetland will get 5 points, 2nd Shetland 4 points etc
Combined Classes, each breed ‘winner’ will receive 1st place points regardless of actual placing for example:

5th Australian Pony C
There are 5 entrants, 3 Australian Pony and 2 Hackney
Points as follows
Australian Pony A = 3 points (1 of 3 Australian Ponies)
Australian Pony B = 2 points (2 of 3 Australian Ponies)
Australian Pony C = 1 point (3 of 3 Australian Ponies)
Hackney A = 2 points (1 of 2 Hackney)
Hackney B = 1 point (2 of 2 Hackney)
